The Readers 1day lens uses a revolutionary material consisting of a bipolymer: Synthetic polymer FILCON 1B and natural biopolymer HYALURONATE GEL. Filcon 1B forms the lens' solid structure, while Hyaluronate Gel is a soluble substance enriched with active minerals such as calcium, magnesium and potassium, which are already present in the tear film.

WORLD NEW AN ALTERNATIVE TO THE READERS
As is well known, insufficient tear film or an alteration in its quality are the most common conditions leading to risk of disease or discomfort during contact lens use. The Hyaluronate Gel is bonded to Filcon 1B during lens manufacture (Hydromade System). Its function is to lubricate and stabilise the tear film, thus protecting the corneal and conjunctival epithelia.
